Pitching and presenting ideas or approaches is an active event where, although you’re the one in the spotlight, you need to be inviting — and directing and coordinating — communication and collaboration. 

It’s a lot like conducting an orchestra, in that even though you’re leading, you’re also there to inspire and enable. That’s how I treat any and every meeting, especially those where I’m presenting my findings and recommendations.
